Prof. Itay Bar Siman Tov
Member of the Faculty of Law at Bar-Ilan University

Professor Itai Bar-Siman-Tov is a member of the Faculty of Law at Bar-Ilan University, where he also serves as the Head of the Laboratory for Law, Information Science and Digital Ethics, and as the Head of the Combined Law and Political Science Master's Degree Program. Prof. Bar-Siman-Tov also serves as a member of the Executive Board of the International Association of Legislation; as Co-Chair of the Israeli Legislation Association; and as Editor-in-Chief of the international journal The Theory and Practice of Legislation. He also serves as a member of the Executive Board of the University's Data Science Institute and as a Senior Fellow at the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Digital Governance (DIGOV).
Before joining the Bar-Ilan Law Faculty, Prof. Bar-Siman-Tov taught at Columbia University Law School in New York, as an Associate-in-Law. Prior to that, he served as an intern and legal assistant to the Honorable Justice Dorit Beinisch of the Supreme Court, and as a research assistant to the Honorable Vice President (Ret.) Prof. Menachem Alon. He holds a Doctorate and Master of Laws (summa cum laude) from Columbia University in New York, and a Bachelor of Laws (cum laude) from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
